Alfred Yu has a long-standing research interest in ultrasound imaging and...

Alfred Yu has a long-standing research interest in ultrasound imaging and therapeutics. He is a Research Assistant Professor in the Medical Engineering Program and the Principal Investigator of the Biomedical Ultrasound Laboratory at the University of Hong Kong. His laboratory is now actively investigating the mechanistic foundations of therapeutic ultrasound and, in parallel, making various imaging innovations for complex flow visualization. Grew up in western Canada, Alfred obtained his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Calgary, and he received his M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Toronto. He is an IEEE Senior Member and the Past Chairperson of the IEEE-EMBS Hong Kong Chapter. He is now an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics Ferroelectrics & Frequency Control and an Editorial Board Member of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology.

 




Ronald Roy - Speaker Profile

Roy...

Roy is Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Oxford.  He specializes in the application of physical acoustics principles to problems in biomedical acoustics, industrial ultrasonics, and acoustical oceanography.

Professor Roy previously served as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Boston University, as a Senior Physicist at the Applied Physics Laboratory and an Associate Research Professor of Bioengineering, both at the University of Washington, and on the research staff at the National Center for Physical Acoustics.

The Leeds Microbubble Consortium are pleased to announce a further speaker for the Microubble Symposium 2015.

Dr Alfred CH Yu from the University of Hong Kong will be joining us in June so participate in the discussions around Fabrication, Characterisation and Translational Applications.

We are pleased to announce that registration for the Microbubble Symposium will...

We are pleased to announce that registration for the Microbubble Symposium will open on 16th March for the 5th Annual meeting.

The Leeds Microbubble Consortium are once again hosting the Symposium at Weetwood Hall, Leeds. The Symposium will run from Monday 29th June to Tuesday 30th June and will include talks on Fabrication, Characterisation and Translational Applications from a variety of speakers.

We are pleased to announce that the following speakers have been confirmed:
